SEDDS Annual Meeting

The Annual Session of the Southeast District Dental Society will be held Friday, March 29 at the Pine Bluff Country Club with Dr. Daron Praetzel of Hot Springs as the keynote speaker.

Doors open at 8:30AM with a presentation by Dr. Praetzel beginning at 9:00AM. After a lunch break at noon, the SEDDS will hold its annual business meeting at 1:00PM. For those interested, the Pine Bluff Country Club is offering golf for visiting dentists for $35 a round.

Member registration is $75 and $15 for each additional staff member looking to attend.

SWDDS Annual Meeting
The Annual Session of the Southeast District Dental Society will be held Saturday, June 8 at the El Dorado Country Club with keynote speakers Dr. Daron Praetzel of Hot Springs discussing oral surgery and dental trauma sustained in the Iraq War as well as Ross Webb, medical researcher with Sirona Dental System presenting new information on laser technology for dentistry.

SEDDS and the El Dorado Country Club are also hosting a golf tournament the day prior, Friday, June 7.

ASDA 126th Annual Scientific Session:

The 126th Annual Session of the Arkansas State Dental Association will be held on  April 5 and 6 at the Hot Springs Convention Center in Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Keynote speakers will include an excellent variety of topics:

• Friday, April 5 from 8:30A-4:30P, Bruce Christopher (http://www.bcseminars.com). Morning session: Why are Women So Strange and Men So Weird?  Afternoon session: Are We Having Fun Yet?
• Friday, April 5 from 8:30A-4:30P, Karen Samuel. Morning session: Orofacial Myology: Muscle Function and Dentition at War.  Afternoon session, It’s All About Airway: Mouth Breathing, an Epidemic. (ASDHA speaker, ticketed event)
• Saturday, April 6 from 8:30A-4:30P, Darrel Cain (http://www.cainwatters.com/about.aspx?section=team&subSection=darrellCain). (Financial and Practice Advice – Topics TBD)

The 2013 session will also include:

• An impression course for dental assistants
• Courses for office managers
• Medicaid workshop
• Insurance and Practice Marketing workshop

2013 Arkansas Mission of Mercy (ArMOM:

The 7th annual ArMOM event will be held on Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1 at the Wells Gymnasium on the campus of Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.

ASDA 2013 Fall Seminar:

The 2013 ASDA Fall Seminar is scheduled for September 20 and 21 at the Statehouse Convention Center in Little Rock. The ASDA CDE Committee is working on an outstanding line-up of speakers, clinicians and courses, including a new course that will be co-hosted by ASDA and UAMS! Watch for details.

And by the way, the Razorbacks are playing at Rutgers that weekend. No conflicts for Razorback fans this year!
