Nearly 1 in 3 Arkansas teen males use smokeless tobacco; 24% increase from 2005

TOBACCO COMPANIES HAVE INCREASED MARKETING EXPENDITURES 55% IN JUST TWO YEARS

In a recent report from the Federal Trade Commission, tobacco companies have increased spending for advertising and promotion from $354 million in 2006 to $548 million in 2008. As a result, the percentage of white male Arkansas teens has jumped by 24%.
