Governor Hutchinson Appoints Dr. Matthew McDonough to Arkansas State Board of Dental Examiners

Governor Hutchinson Appoints Dr. Matthew McDonough to Arkansas State
Board of Dental Examiners
LITTLE ROCK – Governor Asa Hutchinson has appointed Dr. Matthew McDonough of Jonesboro to the Arkansas State Board of Dental Examiners. His term expires September 1, 2022. Dr. McDonough replaces Dr. Richard L. Smith.

“I am delighted to appoint Dr. Matthew McDonough to the Arkansas State Board of Dental Examiners,” Governor Hutchinson said. “I have no doubt he will be a great addition to the to board. Dr. McDonough’s background, experience, and passion for the dental profession will provide insight and perspective to the board in the coming years.”

Matthew McDonough, D.D.S., is a native of Jonesboro and a graduate of Arkansas State University. He graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in Memphis in 2007. He completed residency training and received his certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 2013. Dr. McDonough is also a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He currently practices in Jonesboro.

The State Board of Dental Examiners regulates the practice of dentistry, dental hygiene, and dental assisting, by examining applicants for competency and issuing licenses to candidates meeting the requirements of the State and the Board. More than 5,000 individuals hold a current license or permit issued by the Board of Dental Examiners.
