MMIS Workshop Scheduled for October 20

by Billy Tarpley on October 16, 2017

As reported recently, the Arkansas Department of Human Services will launch a new provider
portal the end of October. The portal will benefit providers and beneficiaries with new functions that
are not available on the current Arkansas portal.

Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care (AFMC) is hosting a series of virtual and on-site workshops
on “Navigating the Provider Portal.” You now have the option of choosing a morning or an
afternoon session. Please note that the same material will be taught in both sessions. All on-site
sessions will be held at AFMC, 1020 W. 4th St., Little Rock.
NOTE: AFMC will not be discussing Managed Care or claims issues at these sessions.
ASDA will offer a workshop on those issues on Dec. 1. It will only be Provider Portal
training on Oct. 20.

The afternoon on-site session is full. The next sessions are 9 a.m.-12 noon and 1-4 p.m. Friday,
Oct. 20. Check-in begins 30 minutes before each session.
MORNING ON-SITE SESSION: If you would like to attend the morning on-site session, you must
register in advance. Seating is limited. On-site registration will not be available.
Those attending the session in person will check in on the first floor using a valid driver’s license or
legal photo ID. You will be issued a visitor’s badge and escorted to the session.
VIRTUAL SESSIONS: In the event that seating for the on-site morning session is not available,
you can choose from two virtual options via webinar to accommodate your needs.

The first session will be held from 9:00AM – 12 noon.

The second session will be held from 1:00PM – 4:00PM

Virtual session attendees will use the call-in number to join via computer. Your confirmation email
will have a link to access the virtual session, as well as the date and time that you selected. It is
best to register early for the virtual sessions. However, you can register for a virtual session the
day of the training.
