New In-Person Requirements for CDE Referred Back to Committee

by Billy Tarpley on May 24, 2017

A new proposal that would require dentists to secure 30 hours of in-person CDE for each licensure period was returned to committee for further review and input by the dental community. Rep. Deborah Ferguson, an ASDA member, asked for the referral during the May 19 meeting of the Arkansas Legislative Council, which was granted by unanimous vote.

ASDA will seek input from dentists on the matter during the Fall Seminar on September 15-16 in Little Rock. Rules proposed by state agencies must first be reviewed and approved by the Legislative Council before they become final. ASDA will continue to monitor this issue and report to the membership via the newsletter, LegisUpdate.
