Alice Marie “Martha” Cobb, 81 of Little Rock died May 31, 2011.
Born May 17, 1930, in Little Rock, she was the daughter of C.I. and Willie Jane Lowry Lawhorn. She was a charter member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church and led the exercise classes there until she was 65 years old. She was a talented singer, and loved to sing in church when she was younger.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Dr. Donald D. Cobb Sr.; a son, Richard Cobb; two brothers, Pete “Jack” Lawhorn and C.I. Lawhorn Jr. and a sister Mary Ruth Fuller. Survivors are two sons, Dr. Donald D. Cobb Jr. and his wife Sissy of Little Rock, and Brad C. Cobb and wife Annalee of England, AR; three grandchildren, Donald D. “Trey” Cobb III and his wife Emily Crystal Ann Cobb, and Nicholas A. Cobb; and one great-grandson, Jackson Fisher Cobb.
Graveside services will be held at 11am Thursday, June 2, 2011, at Pinecrest Memorial Park with Dr. Paul Sanders officiating. Visitation will be from 6pm until 8pm this evening (Wednesday) at Griffin Leggett Healey, & Roth, 5800 W. 12th, Little Rock, AR (501) 661-9111.
